What do you charge for your designs?
Every project that we complete has a unique project design cost, how we determine that price is also unique and negotiated prior to commencing any work.
For the majority of our projects we breakdown costs one of two ways, or a combination of both.
- Hourly
- We charge an hourly drafting rate of $75.00 an hour. Typically, this rate is applied to design projects such as; plan modifications and changes to stock plans, lease improvements, details, 3D Renderings and 3D Walkthroughs.
- By Square Foot
- Custom Home Designs take up the majority of our projects, we generally use a range of $1.50 - $2.50 per square foot. To determine our rate many factors are considered, such as, how many levels are in the home design or the size, style, and site conditions can also change the amount of designing needed for a specific project.
How long will it take to complete the design?
Just like the design costs, each project has a unique timeline, however, we do our best to give you a general estimated timeline at the beginning stages. As the type of projects we complete vary, we want to ensure we can always provide top quality designs efficiently.
What is included in a custom home design plan?
Once we have received final payment, a PDF copy of the details plans will be provided to our client.
Included with our plans you will receive:
- Four detailed elevations.
- All floor plans (Detailed with general structural included).
- Cross section(s), standard notes and details as required. (2 included, addition sections charged hourly).
- Roof plan design/ layout for truss engineers and manufacturers.
- Site plan (as required).
